VISIBILITY:
Can be seen from afar and appears realistic, especially when you change his clothing regularly. A powerful hunting light provides outstanding visibility in the dark for long distances up to 30km. Predators and prospective thieves are deterred because it appears and it sounds like there is someone hunting in the night.
MOVEMENT:
Jan Gun makes a turning motion regularly, and the frequency of movement is adjustable.
SOUND:
Volume is adjustable. Powerful, weatherproof speakers and a powerful sound amplifier delivers pure and realistic sound.

SETTINGS:

"STANDBY MODE"
Jan Gun speaks and moves and shoots regularly, approximately every 10 minutes.
"ALERT MODE"
Jan Gun is more active, he speaks, scolds, moves and shoots approximately every 5 minutes.

DAY / NIGHT / 24H AUTOMATIC ON AND OFF SWITCH WITH LIGHT SENSOR.

Jan Gun and all his accessories are protected against theft with movement sensors, an alarm is activated and Jan Gun calls you on your phone when the movement sensors are triggered.

I have 3 Jannies that are doing service in the pecan orchards. The orchards are approximately 40 hectares but are devided into 4. The baboons love the pecan nuts and will destroy a whole tree to get a single nut on the highest branch. It easily means the destruction of four year's growth in a few minutes.

The Jan Guns protect the trees from end Feb to August. We move them every week and change their clothes from time to time. If you get a chance to fire a few shots at the troop, it also helps We have seen that a male baboon will sometimes still try to get through and break a few branches, but without Jan the damage is severe. In general we have no problems with the construction and the electronics is advanced and will let us know via an SMS if someone would attempt to tamper with Jan.

I have a 3 hectare Pecan nut orchard which I have planted years ago, and the biggest harvest I have ever had was 50kg of nuts due to Blue Apes that damaged the trees and looted the harvest. After spending a fortune on electrification, jackal-proof fences, and covering on all sides with shade nets, I found that all of this helped nothing. My rescue came when I invested in a Jan Gun, since he began his service in the orchard there has not been a sign of an ape, I suspect they have fled out of the area. For me it is just the best acquirement for the farm and my heath has improved immensely.

We are using Jan Gun to protect our crops from the baboons on a farm in the mountains in the Beaufort West district. Jan Gun is in position at the lucerne fields which is not too far from the cliffs where the troop sleeps. Jan is easily relocatable and we highly recommend moving it to a different position regularly - at least once a week - if possible.
